Firex International 2015

FIREX International 2015 Hailed a Success

POSTED BY 24.09.2015,

Held at the London ExCel from June 16th -18th, the 2015 edition of FIREX International has been hailed as a great success.

FIREX has long been established as the premier annual event for the fire safety industry, attracting fire protection and prevention professionals from around the globe. Across the three days of this year’s event, almost 5,000 people were in attendance.

From Fire Curtains to Facilities Management

This year FIREX International ran in conjunction with IFSEC International, one of the leading events in the security industry calendar. With both shows taking over the South Halls of ExCel, FIREX benefited from an extra 11,000 visitors compared to last year’s event.

The decision to run both shows in tandem reflects the increasing convergence between the fire safety and security sectors; whether people were primarily visiting FIREX or IFSEC, there were plenty of exhibits and attractions to interest all parties in attendance.

From the latest technological advances in safety equipment, such as fire curtains and foam systems, to expert lectures on subjects such as facilities management, security systems and smart hotel solutions, FIREX International afforded visitors access to a vast array of expert knowledge.

In addition, attendees were able to take invaluable sneak peaks at the very latest in global fire protection technology.

Celebrities in Attendance at FIREX

FIREX International 2015 was certainly not short on celebrity appearances; this year’s event saw the launch of the Inspirational Speaker Series. Each day, the 400-seat theatre set aside for this new event was packed to capacity, as celebrity speakers took to the stage to share anecdotes from their careers and offer invaluable advice on leadership and attaining success in your chosen field.

The famous speakers included entrepreneur Baroness Karen Brady, adventurer Sir Ranulph Fiennes and sporting legend Sir Chris Hoy.

Another favourite of visitors to this year's FIREX International was the Expertise and Guidance Theatre. Running over each day of the event, this practical workshop offered expert advice on a wide range of fire safety topics; such as fire risk management and fire curtains. A well-received talk on the subject of the 2005 Fire Safety Order was also given by a senior member of the London Fire Brigade.

Next year's FIREX International will once again be hosted by London's ExCel, and it will take place between June 21 and June 23.
