Firex International 2015

What to Expect at Firex International 2015

POSTED BY 23.04.2015,

One of the major trade events for the fire protection industry, the 2015 instalment of Firex International, will be held at the London ExCeL from 16th - 18th June. Open to anyone who has a professional interest in fire safety, Firex is one of the highlights of the fire protection industry’s year. It is also the only major event which combines fire safety with the global security market.

Valuable Access to Expert Fire Safety Advice

This year, Firex International is expected to play host to more than 170 leading companies from the fire protection and security sectors. From international manufacturers and distributors to regional fire safety experts, the breadth of knowledge on show at Firex will be vast.

Visitors to the show will be afforded access to the very latest in global technology and be presented with a great opportunity to speak with professional experts about the latest advances in safety equipment such as fire curtains, alarms, foam systems and smoke detectors.

One of the highlights of Firex International 2015 is expected to be the Expertise and Guidance Theatre. This educational event will run over the full three days of the exhibition and is due to feature practical advice on topics such as fire doors, fire curtains, smart hotel solutions and fire risk management. A senior member of the London Fire Brigade will also present a talk on the Fire Safety Order, asking whether the 2005 reform has made a positive difference to fire safety.

Interactive Exhibits and Live Demonstrations

Interaction is an important part of Firex International, and the 2015 show will see this trend continue. A number of the exhibitors will be presenting live demonstrations of the latest technology, from commercial security devices to passive fire protection systems.

Interactive exhibits include a full-size corridor complete with a suspended ceiling simulation. The show will also feature a Passive Fire Protection Zone, where visitors can gain access to valuable advice and guidance from industry experts on making buildings intrinsically safe from the outbreak of fires.

This year’s Firex International will blend practical hands-on safety advice with thoughts and opinions on fire protection from some of the leading names in the industry. In addition, visitors will be able to discuss the very latest advances in equipment technology with the manufacturers themselves.

Firex International runs from 16 to 20 June at the London ExCeL.
