Coopers First Installation of FireMaster Concertina in a Domestic Property

Inaugural installation of a rectangular shaped Concertina fire curtain installed in Maida Vale, London

Coopers are pleased to announce a recently installed FireMaster Concertina fire curtain in a domestic property in Maida Vale, London. The property was a four floor home being completely re-developed, which included an open stair case leading from the ground floor to the basement level. The basement contained a new kitchen, dining area, snug and bathroom and needed a virtual wall around the open stair case to seperate the basement from the first floor in the event of a fire, thereby protecting the primary means of escape.

The benefit of using the FireMaster Concertina product is that it is completely hidden away from view with no corner posts or guides meaning the occupants benefit from complete open plan living and in the event of a fire know it will encapsulate the stair case, thus creating a virtual wall around it preventing fire spreading from one floor to the next.
