Summary of Role

To attend sites and conduct the following tasks although not limited: Planned Preventative Maintenance, Emergency Callouts, Upgrades/Repairs and Installation and Commissioning works.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out routine/planned scheduled maintenance work
  • Responding to breakdown and equipment faults
  • Diagnosing breakdown problems and carry out first time fix
  • Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly prior to signing off
  • Liaising with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
  • Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Ensure van stock is controlled
  • Respond to customer enquiries in a professional manner
  • Represent Coopers Service Team as an ambassador at all times
  • Provide accurate information on activities undertaken
  • Carry out such additional responsibilities as may be considered necessary by the Management Team

Skills and Experience


  • Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Good customer service & communication skills


  • Electrically qualified 17th/18th Edition as an example
  • Experience working with Fire/Smoke Curtains, Metal shutters or other similar technologies
  • Experience in a field based technical role
  • CSCS/IPAF/PASMA certification


  • Good communicator
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Work to tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends
  • Self-motivated, confident and resourceful.
