Job Title – SENIOR INSTALLER

Summary of Role

A professional installer with experience gained within a similar role ideally with knowledge of the construction industry and life safety systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities and tasks vary but a senior installer may typically be involved in:

  • Installing and Commissioning Coopers’ products
  • Troubleshooting
  • Supporting installation teams – direct labour and sub-contract
  • Finding workarounds/solutions to daily issues whilst on site
  • Liaising with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues;
  • Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs;
  • Support the continuous development of the Quality Management System adopting improvements to continuously improve the customer’s experience
  • To ensure PPE is adequate for the H&S purpose and arrange for new kit to be ordered when required.
  • Undertake product training on all Coopers systems (via the technical department)
  • Undertake training on BS8524 and other relevant standards (via the technical department)
  • Feeback on any potential ideas for improvements, cost savings etc related to product or installation

You must be flexible and willing to work at various locations and at height, there will be a requirement to work some weekends and out of hours, you will be required to stay away overnight on occasions (accommodation provided).

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • CSCS Card
  • Health & Safety qualification
  • Electrically qualified – 17th edition or equivalent
  • Similar role experience
  • Experience of installation of similar products
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills
  • Ability to read & interpret drawing and technical information
  • Construction sector experience

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with Fire Curtains or life safety products
  • Fire Industry experience
