Summary of Role

As an integral member of the Senior Management Team and reporting to the Managing Director, this role has responsibility for the Marketing and the UK and Export Sales Teams, building and delivering on strategies and objectives to develop and grow Coopers Fire.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the sales and marketing strategies, both home and export, to continue growing the Company’s standing in the industry in the short, medium and long term
  • Ensure all sales and marketing activities maintain the existing Company’s objectives and brand
  • Motivating the team to develop on lead generation and upselling Coopers products and services.
  • Responsible for maintaining margins and managing costs
  • Lead the sales team to seek business development opportunities
  • Continue the company’s strategy of CPD events by supporting the team in developing and delivering these
  • Accurate reporting on the sales pipeline and forecast
  • Review sales performance against objectives/targets to determine efficiency and effectiveness of the function
  • Support the team in working closely with Estimating and Project Management to ensure opportunities are costed effectively and there is a smooth handover and transition of the order into Project Management
  • Management of the CRM system
  • Developing, implementing and improving sales and marketing systems and processes
  • Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure contracts with customers are robust and accurate
  • Work closely with Engineering to understand product developments and ensure effective product marketing and product understanding within the sales and marketing teams
  • Ensure effective relationships are maintained with export distributors through team members
  • Lead by example – empower, inspire, mentor, develop and nurture team members, ensuring regular contact and one-to-one time is maintained
  • Act as an ambassador of Coopers’ ethos and values
  • Carry out such additional responsibilities as may be considered necessary by the Management

This role is office based in Waterlooville with a requirement to travel nationally and internationally where required. This role has 5 direct reports.
