NEXT RETAIL STORE, HAVANT, UK

Coopers SmokeStop® smoke curtains help designers improve Next retail store’s shopping experience by allowing open plan design. Coopers Fire installed three SmokeStop smoke curtains on the first floor of the store at the edge of an atrium outside the Costa Coffee cafe to help prevent smoke from spreading into the Next store in the event of a fire.

OIL SEARCH, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

When Australian Exploration Company Oil Search considered the fitout of their prestigious Sydney head office, a modern open plan environment featured high on their brief.
Occupying several floors of the city’s Bligh Street Tower, the famous circular design is reflected throughout the building with the focal point centering on the spiral stairwells.

Petworth House instructed Coopers to install a Fire Curtain to protect the 13th-century chapel. The fire curtain barrier needed to provide comparmentation to the rest of the historic Petworth House which contains many priceless pieces of artwork

THE GHERKIN, LONDON, UK

One of London’s most iconic and prestigious landmarks, 30 St Mary Axe, affectionately known as the Gherkin, is one the UK’s tallest and most distinctive buildings. Designed by world-renowned architect Lord Foster, the Gherkin’s unique design exemplifies a modern open plan office. However, for the open plan office to remain as the architect had intended, a unique approach to smoke and fire management was necessary to meet stringent fire regulations.
